Move Over Lewis And Clark

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle reporting from Missouri today.  It’s time that I take just a moment to tell you what I learned yesterday.  What I learned at a museum dedicated to two men who supposedly had the greatest adventure ever, Lewis and Clark.  The greatest adventure…until now. Until our Adventure Of A Lifetime.

Well, first things first.  I respect these men.  I respect their sense of duty, their sense of adventure.  But did you know that these two men, who were on a long trip to find routes or something had a dog?  A dog that traveled with them for the whole journey named Seaman.  Did you know this?  I am sure you did not.  I learned that at the museum.  Stay with me here.  I know museums are boring, but this has a point.

These men were off to go where no men had gone before…on a mission, on a journey. An important one.  I did not pay attention too much at this place because I was getting adored by fans at this museum.  I wonder if Lewis and Clark had fans like us.  I doubt that.  I doubt that.

But all of this learning in this Missouri place got me to thinking.  Me and Deputy Digby are a Lewis and Clark of sorts, aren’t we?  We are seeing this country, doing things that most dogs can only dream about.  And our mission?  To “Make Rescues The Breed of Choice” by drawing attention to animal rescue in each of the 48 states that we visit, and completing our journey in one year.  This may seem impossible, but it is not impawsbile to us.  We are doing this!  Move over Lewis and Clark!  The new explorers are here! Thanks by the way to the Lewis and Clark Boat House Museum for allowing us to tour. It is so awesome you let dogs learn too!

Today in Missouri, we are visiting our rescue pick, Five Acres Animal Shelter in St. Charles.  We can’t wait to see how they help animals here in this Missouri place!  And we can’t wait to see what else Missouri has to offer us for the rest of the week too.  Lewis and Clark may have went on an epic journey, but our Adventure Of A Lifetime is one that will go down in history books too…or at least this blog.  We have saw some amazing things on this trip so far.  We have done some amazing things.  But the most amazing to us have been the animal rescuers we have met.  And how my looks get more amazing every state we visit.  It had to be said, because you were thinking it.

Lewis and Clark?  Thanks for finding that route or something by the way.  But me and Deputy Digby have some more animal rescuers to find.  And that is going to be our legacy.  We hope to inspire others to do the same.  Wow, this Missouri place is making me so deep.  And handsome.  And I better sign off before you can’t concentrate on your day.
