That Is Not Me.

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Well, this Iowa place is pretty much awesome.  So far we have had sunshiney, we have had great hikes, creeks, pretty bridges and awesome animal rescuers at AHeinz57 Rescue.  Iowa is awesome. But Iowa is also very confused.

Do you know what else I have had here? In this Iowa place? An identity crisis.

Seriously.  Is my name so difficult?  Peanut Butter Brickle.  I guess it is long.  Long like my legs, long like my expansive personality and long like my stripes.  But apparently, many people that we have met here in Iowa think I am someone else.

Brinkley.  I got called Brinkley.  Do I look like this guy?  No, I am not David Brinkley.  That is not me. If I told you the news, well, it would be the same everyday.  That…You. Are. Arrested.

Also…I am not named Brittle.  Brittle is cracked like Deputy Digby’s stories most of the time trying to get out of trouble.  I am not brittle.  Not peanut brittle.  That is not me.

Also, I am not Digby.  I am not Deputy Digby.  Please…I am the Sheriff.  He is the Deputy.  How you can get us confused, I have no idea.  We are like Laurel and Hardy.  Totally different.  Please.  That is not me.

If you are in Iowa, I can understand how maybe, just maybe, you could possibly confuse us with Mike and Frank who live here from that show American Pickers.  Obvious similarities.  So I may give you a pass on that one…

So there it is.  Please, Iowa…my full name is Peanut Butter Brickle. Like the cake.  Like the ice cream.  That IS me. Stop drooling.  I figured these images together would be too much for you.  I apologize for that.  But I wouldn’t have had to show you if you would have got my name right in the first place.

I am afraid that as Sheriff, I am going to have to arrest you for all the name infractions this week, Iowa. We have three more days to tour here.  So, if I meet you on the road this weekend, and you get my name correct, fully correct, I may consider probation.  But you are going to have a record.  I can’t help that at this point.

On a more serious note, I am serious.  Peanut. Butter. Brickle  Got it?
