Romantic In Iowa?

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Let me be the first this week to welcome you to…Iowa!  Yes, we made it!  Many people think you’ve “made it” if you make it to New York City.  Please.  We made it to Iowa, y’all.  Nuff said.  Except not.

So yesterday, we had a lot of driving to do.  Not sure as I am used to driving in this Big Blue Treat Wagon yet.  It is bumpy and jumpy and most roads in most states are just plain terrible.  As Sheriff, when you arrest so many roads, you just give the heck up.  What are we going to do?  Nothin much.  Every state we have visited so far has been arrested for roads.  And I am over it.

So when we drove thru a place yesterday called Madison County, Iowa, Girl Person started acting all weird.  Gushing about some old movie which apparently came out a year after her and Boy Person got married, so you KNOW its old.  And older than its older cousin, old.  Boy Person said he never saw any movie of the such.  So Girl Person played a little bit of it, and since he was driving, well, he sure couldn’t go anywhere, now could he?

First question which is the most obvious one.  If there are no dogs in this movie, why is Girl Person watching it anyway?  If this Iowa place is going to make Girl Person act all weird, do we want to spend a week here?  Not so sure about this.

Girl Person told me to calm down, that I am her one and only Sheriff.  I know that.  I know that. However, I was asleep in this picture, and don’t appreciate the snuck in kisses.  I did not authorize.

So there you have it.  I feel like we are probably going to visit these bridges.

And I know there is going to be a lot more to see this week too in Iowa.  Just wait and see what we find. And don’t forget about our Iowa picked rescue this week, AHeinz57 Rescue and Transport.  Make sure to look for their awesome animals on our Facebook page this week, because they are surely deserving of some romance too.  With that, I will close this dog blog by saying that I am the romantic one around here, Iowa.  I don’t need no competition.

I had forgotten all about that old movie. It is really really old now. Good luck this week guys. Maybe you’ll run into Robert Redford on the way to your next hike or rescue.
