Follow The Yellow Brick Road

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle. And you know that we had to say it this week eventually, right?  Seriously, when in Kansas…

So apparently, this girl named Dorothy really wanted to get back to this Kansas place!  She really missed home.  And when we leave this Kansas place? Yes, we are really going to miss it too.

I am pretty sure that all of us have a yellow brick road we try to follow.  Something that we think will make us happy, get us back to a place where we were happy once like Dorothy.  And sometimes, our persons wonder if the roads we follow on this trip will get us back to where we started from in the first place.  We will see.  Although we have many more states to get to, all roads have us together and we are enjoying the journey.  And we are happy you are with us too.

Although we are weary and travel tired, we know that we have more rescues to visit too like the one we are going to in Kansas today.  It is called Western Plains Animal Refuge.  They are definitely deserving of some love and recognition for what they do, and it is our job today to show YOU how awesome they are! Make sure to check our Facebook page for pics of our visit, and then this weekend you know what comes next. Our video and article on Sunday.  Won’t you help us share them with the world?  If not, you. Are. Arrested.

We still have a few more days in Kansas, and fun places to see! So we hope you will stay with us this weekend, although not in the Big Blue Treat Wagon because there is no room in here.

And then our next destination?  Nebraska. I have no idea where that is.  I would assume my corn dog tail will point us in the right direction down that yellow brick road.

Oh, and one more thing. We feel like telling our family…our friends…we miss home.  Like Dorothy.

“Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.”
