This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle reporting from this Wyoming place!  And I have some news for you today.  It’s official.  We are HALF WAY through the Adventure Of A Lifetime! Can you believe it?  Our 48 states, 48 rescues is now down to only 24 more states and 24 more rescues! It’s crazy.

We started from that Florida place in May…it seems like so long ago.

But now, here we are…in Wyoming which marks our half way point.  We have certainly met some great people and great furkids along the way.  We have visited with shelters, and home-based rescues and even lions, tigers and bears!  We have.

I wanted to write a whole recap of our trip so far, but then I thought to myself that my time could be better spent looking at myself in the mirror.  Reflecting on how much more handsome and seasoned I have become on this trip.

And anyway, you have been with us this whole trip, so your time would also be better spent reflecting on my handsome too.  Like when we were in North Carolina.  Remember that?

It’s true.  This trip has been hard in a lot of ways.  The Big Blue Treat Wagon has given us our share of problems.  Even this week, the water pump broke so, we have no water in here.  Which means no baths, and we are not complaining about that.  But it seems to make Girl Person grumpy to wash dishes outside in the dirt.  Call her crazy.

Sacrifice has been the name of the game for us, and no complaints there.  We decided to do this, and we are happy to do so.  The support of our fans has been invaluable to us.  If we didn’t think that you wanted to come with us every step of the way, we could not complete it.  And if we didn’t have shelters or rescues that welcomed our visits, we couldn’t do that either.  If we didn’t have companies that donated their products for us to give away too, that would make our game show Stop Hounding Me pretty pointless.  So a big thank you to 4-Legger, Bowser Beer, Squeak N Snap and Your Dog’s Diner.

So what I am saying is that I am putting my handsome aside for once and recognizing all of you who have cheered us on.  Now, the bad news.  We need you to keep cheering us on.  Because half way is good…but it’s still a long way to go.  And truth be told, and I always tell the truth as Sheriff, we are missing our families.  And friends.  And that Florida place is a long way away.

Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Michigan, New Jersey, Vermont, New York, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Pennsylvania and Wyoming!!  

Now, if you are in a state we have not visited, you can still give us your input and let us know where we should go, what we should see and what rescue we should visit!

Now, I must get back to looking at myself.  Deputy Digby Pancake has taken this opportunity to remind me that we need to explore more of Wyoming today and get back to the business at hand.  Right now, his business consists of stinking up this Big Blue Treat Wagon RV…and he is doing a great job at it.
