This is Deputy Digby Pancake. And Rhode Island? See ya later, alligator! There are no alligators here? Then see ya later bumpy roads, cabinets that you call milkshakes, Awlful Awlfuls, pizza strips and clam chowder! See ya later! It’s been a great week, but we are off to Massachusetts today!

Sheriff Brickle says he already wants to arrest Massachusetts because it is too hard to spell.  I don’t know how to spell it either, good thing that Girl Person does.  Because we are going to have to read a map to figure out how to get there.  I hope that we see a pancake place along the way.  Girl Person told me that Rhode Island was the first state to have diners.  If we don’t see one though, since we are in our moving house, maybe someone will make me some.  I am really needing it for our journey.

When Girl Person was little, her Pappy used to pack her family a box he called “Emergency Rations” for any road trips they went on.  It would be full of canned goods, and candy and quarters.  So I think someone needs to make me an emergency ration box too.  Did I mention pancakes?

Rhode Island, despite your bumpy roads and odd choice of food names, we really enjoyed you. The people here were nice, the countryside beautiful and the farms gorgeous, although I saw no pancake farms.  Your ocean was choppy like Brickle’s moods, and the homes very large, unlike our RV.  We hope that you will miss us, and we hope to see you real soon!
