We. Were. Arrested.

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Yesterday was a big day for us in Virginia Beach, Virginia!  After we took a hike at our fan meet up, we took a nap before we went to the next rescue on our Adventure Of A Lifetime!  We visited Hope For Life Animal Rescue in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Ok, first of all, this place rocked.  We will be writing a full article on them this weekend, so look for it soon.  But I will tell you that all of their residents do not have to be in cages like regular shelter jails.  The only ones that had to go to jail yesterday were me and Deputy Digby Pancake.  That’s what I said.  We.  Were.  Arrested.

What happened? No, we didn’t bother all of the cats roaming around.  No, we didn’t pee on anyone or anything.  But the following were our infractions:

  1.  When there is a sweet coonhound named Marigold in your midst, and your name is Digby, you get awful sweet on her.  Awful sweet.  It was Hump Day.  The name was appropriate for the occasion.  Digby.  Was.  Arrested.
  2. When there are millions of food dishes around filled with cat food, and you have a weakness for said cat food, and you don’t ever get it, you steal it.  You steal it not once, not twice, but about a hundred times.  I.  Was.  Arrested.
  3.  When you are obsessed with the cat food, and its all you can think about, you get mad when other dogs try to steal your food.  Yes, I said my food.  I also said growl.  Growl.  I.  Was.  Arrested.

So as you can see, we had a full day at Hope For Life Rescue.  And it was a fruitful day.  We like visiting these rescues, but Girl Person says that we cannot wreak havoc on the residents and that as law enforcers, we must uphold the law.  Well, I am not familiar with these laws in the Virginia place.  So anyway.  I put myself on probation. Seriously, the cats in there mean business.  And if I would have had to stay locked up, I can only imagine what would have happened.

Well, today, we are on to the second location for our stay in this Virginia place, Pocahontas State Park, about 20 miles outside of Richmond, Virginia.  So we hope the Big Blue Treat Wagon makes it, or….you know what will happen.

Have a great day everyone!

You bad, bad doggies! and law enforcement officials to boot! I hope you’ve learned to behave now. Being in jail must not be fun!

The cats will lock you up permanently if you go after their food again!! Seriously you have a lot more country to cover.
