Overcoming Fears

Image.png-5

This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle.  Today, we leave Cedar Point, North Carolina and we head to Roanoke Island, North Carolina! Another 4 hour drive at least because we are slow and we stop a lot and I arrested the Big Blue Treat Wagon.  Boy Person is trying to see if he can hook up something to pull our car this time too.  We will see! If not, it’s ok Boy Person. We can do it.

Speaking of we can do it, yesterday it rained here.  A lot.  But we didn’t let that damper our spirits.  We took a few hikes in the rain and all of a sudden I saw it.  No, not the pretty view.  The metal walkway.  You see, ever since I was a puppy, I have wanted to arrest all metal walks.  I won’t walk across grates.  I won’t do it.  But Girl Person told me that it was the only way to take this hike over the water.  It was either that or back in Big Blue.

So, I decided that if we were brave enough to do this trip and break down and park on the side of the road and sleep with smelly Digby in these close of quarters, I could totally walk across this bridge. And as you can see, I did it! I did it for over 2 miles! I did it and I wanted to do it again.  Think you can’t overcome  your fears? Think again. Did you know Girl Person has depression and is very shy?  How does she talk to people and visit rescues and animals? She overcame her fears.  And did you know Boy Person likes to wear white socks when he shouldn’t? That is a fear he needs to overcome.  I don’t wanna see that anymore.

Have a great day everyone and watch for us to get on the road again this afternoon!

You know Brickle you are a very wise pup. Don’t forget that! I will remember it next time I am scared, if the Sheriff can overcome his fears, then I can too. And if GP can learn to talk to people and overcome her fears it is a big deal. Being on TV and in the public eye and do it is awesome. So little Ole me can do it too. I really hope I can arrange to take off from work so I can meet up with y ‘all on your way thru VA or MD.

I am so happy you overcame you fear of metal bridges. Sounds like you had fun on your walk in the rain. Have a safe day driving. Hoping all goes well with Big Blue. Maybe you should make Digby take a bath before you leave. Have a great day.

I’m proud of you and so is Rosa! Wish we could do a few visits with you – sounds like you are having fun despite the Big Blue Treat Wagon misbehaving! Safe travels this week xxx

OMG this is soooo funny because a day or so ago you posted a picture of boy person, mostly of his feet and my first thought was “she needs to tell him to quit wearing those white socks” lol
