There Must Be Something In The Water

This is Deputy Digby Pancake.  It’s no secret that we are running around here crazy and busy and pretty much working like dogs to get ready for this Adventure Of A Lifetime! So many things have to fall into place and quick.  But hey, I have a lot of jobs around here.  And my job apparently this week is making the persons realize that we have to stop.  Slow down.  Appreciate this Florida place.  Because our days here, at least for the next year, are drawing to a close.

A year ago, we never would have imagined that we would be at this point.  We were leaving our lifelong home, sold our house unexpectedly in nine days, we had nowhere to go and were thinking we just had to go buy another home in California.  We thought our happiness was planned.  But our happiness had other plans.

As we have been living in our Country Cousin’s beach house for these last seven months, our priorities, our goals changed.  What happened?  There must be something in the water. Now we’re changed.  Now we’re stronger.

We want our fans, our friends, our families to know that although we may be leaving this Florida place for a bit, it doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate it.  Living simply, appreciating the dolphins, the manatees, the water has healed us.  And it taught us a lesson. Don’t think your happiness depends on one thing. Don’t wait to be happy.  Just be happy and go with the flow. Kinda like when I pee on Brickle’s head.

We have so much to do to get ready for our trip.  Actually, Sheriff Brickle and I are doing much supervising and getting our arrest books ready for the trip.  You must have priorities.  We know we are going to have to arrest many of you on the road. So get ready.  And one last thing.

If you can today, stop for a moment too. Find a happy place. Whether it’s the ocean, a lake, a mountain, a fresh breeze or a stack of pancakes.  I vote pancakes.
